01 / Division · Domo Manufacturing · San Diego

Housing, built like a product.

Domo Manufacturing builds precision steel volumetric modules indoors on an automotive-style line. Each one leaves finished, from structure to kitchen to furnishings, and locks to the next with a patented mechanical connection.

On the line

The San Diego line, in motion and at the stations that matter. Frames built in jigs and closed, systems and finishes installed, modules released in stack order.

Precision, indoors, in sequence.

Field construction is exposed to weather, variability and a different crew every project. The Domo line gives the same trades fixtures, sequencing, inspection at every station and a roof. The result is a module that is the same every time.

Scale

Built to run at volume.

A factory only works when it is fed. Domo's own pipeline, about 1,100 permitted units across eight San Diego projects, keeps the line loaded, and clustering projects in each city keeps it that way as Domo expands.

The line is designed for 1,000+ units a year today. The roadmap takes factory output to about 4,000 units a year as Domo adds capacity for the Southwest.

What leaves the line

Complete rooms, not panels or kits. Residences, vertical circulation and amenity volumes are all built on the same line and shipped with the stack.

  • R

    Residence volumes

One, two and three bedroom apartments finished as a product: structure, MEP, kitchen, bath, finishes, furnishings, smart-home and access devices.

  • S

    Stair volumes

Vertical circulation built indoors on the same line and set with the building, so the stairs are in place as each floor goes up.

    Circulation
  • E

    Elevator volumes

Shafts shipped with the stack and aligned by the same chassis geometry as the residences.

    Circulation
  • A

    Amenity and pool volumes

Amenity structures fabricated indoors and set with the building. Project two includes a factory-built pool module.
